Many potential members have not been to a club before, and may be worried about what to expect. Forget it! Naturists are the most friendly folk around. They will not take the least notice of your shape, colour, physical attributes or whatever. Just look around; everyone else is at ease. You will only attract attention if you are not at ease yourself. The wonderful thing about naturism is that it is friendly and INNOCENT, and this is the way you must approach it. Follow this rule, and you will find enormous pleasure and make many friends. Break it, and you will not be welcome for long.
Most clubs will expect you to wear no clothes if the weather is reasonable - that is why the club is there after all - but no one will hassle you if you are really too shy to take everything off from the start. You will be amazed how soon it feels completely natural. There is something about naturism which is far more fundamental than the initial excitement of doing something daring and of seeing others without their clothes. There really is a bond of friendship between all those who are prepared to enjoy social nudity. Why this is I do not know: it may be that only those folk with a sense of humour, a friendly nature and a lack of pretension will become a naturist - it may be that even if we do not have these qualities to start off with, we soon develop them!
New to Camping?
Don't worry about this either: our members choose tents to suit their lifestyle: some have canvas mansions towed behind their car; some have a lightweight carried on their back. True, it is a bit of an adventure - but that is part of the fun. If you really can't face the thought of a tent, some sites have a room or caravanfor hire, there is often a hotel or guest house nearby where you might stay, or come on a day visit.
What goes on in naturist clubs?
Many folk planning a visit to a naturist club for the first time are scared! What will others expect of them?
FORGET YOUR WORRIES! All will be well. Everyone you meet will be a human being!
Nothing untoward will be going on, and if you are friendly to them, they will be friendly in return. The basic rules are very simple - be polite and considerate; don't embarrass others by staring at them or making sexual advances; don't take photos of them and don't put your bare bottom on their chairs - (everyone will carry a towel or something to put on the seat first). These rules are all common sense, and I mention them only to reassure you that this is how you will be treated.
Most clubs will have some facilities to offer - toilets and showers, a clubroom in case it rains - and a sunbathing lawn for when it doesn't. Many will have games courts for boules, badminton or miniten (a sort of tennis played on a smaller court), many have their own swimming pool and sauna, maybe a licenced bar, and some may provide meals. If they don't, there is probably a pub nearby which will offer food - but put your clothes on first! (If the weather is warm, you soon forget that you ever had to be burdened with them).
